About Us

Our Story

In 1931, Longview's founder, businessman, and philanthropist R.A. Long generously donated the land for the city's third church. First Christian Church quickly became a central gathering place for the community, leading to its expansion in 1957, which included the addition of a modern 823-square-foot chapel and extra classrooms. Over the years, the building has served various purposes, from a Sunday School to a community meeting space, and for 30 years, it housed the Kid's World Learning Center preschool.

In 2013, local residents, Kari and Jason Gallagher, took ownership and continued the site's legacy, maintaining the Kid's World Learning Center offering preschool and summer camps.

After 30 years of dedicated service, when teacher Mrs. French retired, Kari saw an opportunity to meet the community's growing needs by transforming the space into an event center. Her goal is to provide affordable wedding, funerals and celebration options in a convenient location near the lake. The renovated space now boasts a beautiful Bride Suite as well as a sizable Groom Suite, banquet rooms for receptions, and accommodations for various events such as baby and bridal showers, birthday parties, graduation parties, and meeting spaces.

As Longview continues to grow, this versatile event center fulfills a crucial need in the community, serving as a hub for a wide range of celebrations and gatherings.
